Ready To Take The Lead & Leave Your Mark!
What you'll be doing
Lead the delivery of assigned internal audit engagements under the approved audit plan, producing reliable evidence, well-supported findings and practical recommendations. Translate identified risks into focused audit procedures and independently verify corrective actions to strengthen controls.
Plan Risk Focused Engagements
Translate assigned audit priorities into engagement objectives, scope, risk and control matrices, audit programs and resource schedules for Manager approval.
Gather process insights and identify changes in risk exposure to inform the function’s risk assessment.
Lead Fieldwork and Control Testing
Direct and perform walkthroughs, sampling, transaction testing and data analysis across assigned business processes.
Assess control design and operating effectiveness, policy adherence and applicable compliance requirements; adjust procedures within delegated authority and refer material scope changes to the Manager.
Establish Findings and Root Causes
Evaluate exceptions, corroborate evidence and distinguish isolated errors from recurring or systemic weaknesses.
Determine causes, consequences and proposed risk ratings using the approved methodology; promptly escalate suspected misconduct, material exposures and access restrictions to the Manager.
Develop Actionable Audit Reports
Discuss factual accuracy with process owners and draft clear reports linking evidence, risk, root cause and recommendations.
Obtain management responses with accountable owners and due dates, resolve factual differences and submit reports to the Internal Audit Manager for final approval.
Verify Corrective Action Effectiveness
Maintain accurate action tracking and independently retest completed actions before recommending closure.
Identify overdue, unsupported or ineffective responses and recurring issues; escalate them to the Manager rather than accepting management confirmation as closure evidence.
Support Practical Control Awareness
Deliver targeted briefings and audit feedback within the Manager’s approved awareness agenda.
Explain control expectations and recurring failure points in an understandable language and provide evidence and examples to refine future awareness priorities.
Improve Audit Tools and Methods
Maintain complete, secure and traceable engagement records and contribute to quality reviews.
Improve audit programs, analytics and working practices based on lessons learned, and support authorized special reviews under the Manager’s direction.
What you'll need to succeed
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
5–7 years of Internal Audit experience, including at least 2 years leading audit engagements, with experience across financial and operational processes, preferably in Pharmaceuticals, FMCG, or regulated industries.
Strong knowledge of IIA Global Internal Audit Standards, internal controls, and IFRS.
Practical knowledge of risk and control assessment, sampling, fraud indicators, and applicable process-level compliance requirements.
Advanced Excel skills, ERP data analysis, and strong analytical and root-cause analysis abilities.
Proven audit leadership, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
Clear report writing and constructive discussions with process owners in Arabic and English.
