What you'll be doing

At Macro Group, we believe innovation starts with curiosity and precision. We are looking for a Research & Development Specialist to join our growth-driven R&D team. In this role, you will help bring new cosmeceutical and pharmaceutical formulations to life, scale existing products, and conduct hands-on lab trials in a collaborative environment where your ideas matter.

• Execute Comprehensive Market & Technical Research: Conduct in-depth literature and database searches (Internet, IMS, scientific references) to evaluate new products, delivering clear feasibility insights for innovative product pipelines.

• Implement Standard R&D Lab Procedures: Execute end-to-end R&D formulation procedures under senior mentorship to ensure seamless step-by-step progress through each development phase.

• Formulate & Conduct Lab Trials: Conduct lab trials and formulation tests using precise supportive analytical measures to verify product success and stability metrics.

• Gather Master Product Documentation: Assemble and update comprehensive product records and files, submitting finalized documentation to the R&D Manager within target project deadlines.

• Source Quality Ingredients: Partner directly with raw material suppliers to procure high-spec ingredients and cost-effective substitutes that meet corporate quality standards.

• Ensure Product Efficacy & Stability: Engage with external certified laboratories to perform specialized testing, verifying product quality, efficacy, and shelf-life stability.

• Uphold Lab Safety & Excellence: Build and maintain detailed reference databases for raw materials, chemicals, equipment, and lab samples to reinforce lab safety and hazard awareness.

• Drive Quality & Cost Improvements: Propose innovative quality enhancements, formula optimization ideas, and raw material substitution strategies to reduce unit costs while maintaining superior product performance.

• Deliver Export Scientific Documentation: Collaborate with the Export Department to supply complete technical and scientific documentation required for overseas product registrations and regulatory compliance.

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences.

• At least 2 - 3 years of hands-on experience as an R&D Specialist in pharmaceutical or cosmeceutical product formulation.

• Proven capability in product innovation with a track record of formulating and delivering market-ready products.

• Solid technical understanding of active ingredients, excipients, packaging specifications, and stability testing standards.

• Strong supplier management skills and problem-solving mindset to evaluate cost-efficient raw material substitutes.

• High level of data accuracy, analytical thinking, time management, and interpersonal skills.

• Excellent written and spoken Arabic and English communication skills, with proficiency in MS Office and scientific research tools.
